Banana Cinnamon Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 4 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 cup mashed banana (about 2-3 medium bananas)
03 - 1 cup warm milk
04 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
05 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
06 - 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
07 - 2 large eggs
08 - 1 teaspoon salt

→ Filling

09 - 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
10 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
11 - 1 cup brown sugar
12 - 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

→ Icing

13 - 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
14 - 4 oz cream cheese, softened
15 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
16 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

# Instructions:

01 - Stir the yeast, sugar, and warm milk in a big bowl. Wait a few minutes until it gets foamy.
02 - Mix together the yeast mixture with the bananas, melted butter, salt, and eggs. Make sure everything is combined well.
03 - Add the flour bit by bit, mixing until you get a dough. Knead it for about 10 minutes on a board with some flour sprinkled on it.
04 - Put the dough in an oiled bowl and cover it. Let it sit for roughly an hour in a warm area until it’s doubled in size.
05 - Mix the softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
06 - Roll the dough into a rectangle about 20x14 inches on a floured counter. Spread the filling and sprinkle the walnuts evenly on top, if you’re using them.
07 - Roll the dough tightly from the long side into a log. Slice it into 12 pieces and position them in a pan that’s been greased.
08 - Cover the rolls and let them puff up again for another 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
09 - Pop the rolls into the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until they’re golden on top.
10 - Using a mixer or spoon, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla until creamy. Spread the icing on the warm rolls.

# Notes:

01 - Ripe bananas work best! They add natural sweetness to the dough.
