Effortless Pan Fried Peaches (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Fruit

01 - 4 ripe peaches

→ Caramelization

02 - A tiny bit of salt
03 - 0.25 teaspoon ground ginger
04 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
05 - 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
06 - 1 tablespoon plain butter

# Instructions:

01 - Dish up the warm caramelized peaches. Top with your favorite things like yogurt or ice cream, or dig in just as they are.
02 - Flip every peach gently and cook for another 2 or 3 minutes so the other side gets just a bit caramelized and everything's hot.
03 - Put the peach halves cut-side down onto the pan. Let them sit for 5 to 7 minutes, no peeking, till they look deep brown and sticky.
04 - Warm up the butter in a wide pan over medium. Toss in the sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and salt. Stir everything to get it all smooth and bubbling.
05 - Cut each peach right down the middle and pop out the pit. Want them chunkier? Go for thick wedges so they keep their shape as they cook.

# Notes:

01 - Try mixing it up with apples, plums, or nectarines instead of peaches.
02 - For a plant-based swap, use your go-to vegan butter or coconut oil.
03 - Chunky peach slices hold up better when you're frying them.
04 - Throw in some vanilla, nutmeg, or clove to change up the flavor.
05 - Maple syrup, white sugar, palm sugar, or honey all work fine as sweeteners.
06 - If you're using salted butter, don't bother adding extra salt.
07 - Want deeper caramel flavor? Just cook the peaches a bit longer for a slight smoky taste.
08 - A grill pan makes cool lines on the peaches if you want them.
