Elegant Blue Cheese Pears (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pears

01 - 4 juicy pears, take out the cores and cut in half from top to bottom

→ Cheese Filling

02 - 1 tablespoon honey, and keep a little more to drizzle at the end
03 - 28 grams walnuts, toast them and chop up
04 - 120 grams blue cheese, broken into pieces

→ Seasoning and Garnish

05 - Fresh thyme sprigs for a pop of color on top
06 - A small shake of black pepper, about 1/4 teaspoon
07 - Splash on 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar

# Instructions:

01 - Take the baked pears out, pour a little extra honey across each, toss on some fresh thyme, and dig in while they're still nice and warm.
02 - Give those stuffed pears a good hit of balsamic and a dash of pepper, then slide them in the oven for about 20–25 minutes. You want them soft, with cheese bubbling away.
03 - Scoop that cheesy walnut mix into every hollowed-out pear half. Give it a gentle press so it holds together.
04 - Toss together the crumbled blue cheese, toasted walnuts, and honey in a bowl. Give it a good mix until everything's pretty even.
05 - After halving and scooping out the pears, line them up with the cut side showing on your baking tray.
06 - Crank your oven up to 190°C. Lay some parchment on the tray or rub on a bit of oil.

# Notes:

01 - Pick pears that feel soft but aren't mushy, so they hold up well. Mixing in some goat cheese makes it even richer. You can eat these warm out of the oven or chilled straight from the fridge.
