Breakfast Apple Crumble Oats (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Apple Filling

01 - One tablespoon cornstarch
02 - One tablespoon fresh lemon juice
03 - A quarter teaspoon ground nutmeg
04 - One teaspoon of cinnamon
05 - Two tablespoons brown sugar
06 - Six medium Honeycrisp or Granny Smith apples, sliced and peeled

→ Crumble Topping

07 - A quarter teaspoon salt
08 - Half a teaspoon ground cinnamon
09 - Fifty-seven grams unsalted butter, cold and cut in cubes
10 - Sixty-seven grams brown sugar
11 - Sixty-five grams plain flour
12 - One hundred grams rolled oats

# Instructions:

01 - Let it chill out for ten minutes once you take it out of the oven. It tastes great warm, so go ahead and dish it up.
02 - Pop it in the oven for thirty to thirty-five minutes. The top should look crisp and brown, and the fruit underneath will be bubbling.
03 - Layer the apple mix in your baking pan or skillet and smooth it out. Then sprinkle the crumbly topping all over those apples.
04 - Grab another bowl. Toss in the oats, flour, brown sugar, a pinch of salt, and cinnamon. Break in the cold butter cubes with your fingers or a cutter until it's all crumbly.
05 - Slice and peel the apples. Put them in a bowl with brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, a little lemon juice, and the cornstarch. Mix it all up.
06 - Switch on your oven and set it to 190°C to get it nice and hot.

# Notes:

01 - Pick firm, tart apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith for best bite.
