Effortless Cherry Vanilla Soda (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cherry Vanilla Syrup

01 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
02 - 1/2 cup sugar
03 - 1/2 cup water
04 - 12 cherries, pitted and split

→ To Serve

05 - Sparkling water

# Instructions:

01 - Once the syrup cools off, pour a little over ice and fill up with soda water. Or just let it chill out even more so you can stash it in the fridge—it's fine for a week.
02 - Set the pot aside and wait about 15 minutes till it's not hot. Push everything through a strainer into a jar so you get a smooth syrup.
03 - Keep the heat going for ten more minutes after mashing so the syrup gets thicker.
04 - After about five minutes of bubbling on the stove, squish the cherries up with a masher or a fork.
05 - Toss halved cherries (take out the pits), sugar, vanilla, and water into a small pot and put it on the stove over medium heat.

# Notes:

01 - You can add more or less syrup to your drink, up to you for sweetness or stronger flavor. It gives off a cream soda vibe.
