Take your ribeye out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F for 5 minutes. Season both sides of the steak generously with kosher salt and black pepper.

Place the seasoned ribeye in the air fryer basket and cook for 6 minutes at 390°F. Flip the steak over and cook for an additional 6 minutes for a perfect medium-rare finish.

Remove the steak from the air fryer basket and transfer to a plate. Let it rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Top with a pat of butter or your favorite steak toppings before serving.
