Best Banana Bread Ever (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Bread

01 - 2 cups all purpose flour
02 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
03 - 1 stick butter (8 tablespoons or 1/2 cup), melted
04 - 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
05 - 1/3 cup sour cream
06 - 2 eggs
07 - 3 medium sized bananas, mashed
08 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ For the Swirl

09 - 1/2 cup brown sugar
10 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
11 - 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts), optional

→ For the Drizzle Topping

12 - 3/4 cup powdered sugar
13 - 3 tablespoons milk (more or less as needed)
14 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

# Instructions:

01 - Whisk together flour and baking soda in a large bowl and set aside. In another bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, sour cream, eggs, mashed bananas and vanilla extract. Stir together with a spoon. Add wet ingredients to flour mixture and mix well with spoon.
02 - Spray a 9 x 5 loaf pan with cooking spray and add batter to pan.
03 - Combine brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts (if using). Spread on top of the banana batter. Take a knife and swirl the mixture into the batter.
04 - Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 65 to 70 minutes, checking until done as ovens vary. It should be golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
05 - Remove from oven and let cool completely. Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for the drizzle topping. Adjust milk as needed for desired consistency. Drizzle over cooled banana bread.
