Cheeseburger Salad Bowl (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Burger Meat

01 - 1 tbsp olive oil
02 - 1 lb lean ground beef
03 - 1 small yellow onion, diced
04 - 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
05 - Salt
06 - Black pepper

→ Salad Ingredients

07 - 12 oz romaine lettuce
08 - 1 cup chopped grape tomatoes
09 - 1/4 cup diced red onion
10 - 1/2 – 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, depending on how much you'd like
11 - 3/4 cup diced dill pickles

→ Special Sauce Dressing

12 - 2 tbsp light mayo
13 - 2 tbsp ketchup
14 - 1 tbsp pickle juice
15 - 1/2 tsp onion powder
16 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
17 - Salt, to taste
18 - Black pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Add the olive oil, yellow onion, and minced garlic to a large skillet or pan on the stove over medium heat. Sauté for about 5 minutes until soft.
02 - Add in the lean ground beef. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook until the meat is browned and no longer pink.
03 - Next prepare the special sauce dressing. Add the mayo, ketchup, pickle juice, onion powder, and garlic powder to a small bowl. Combine thoroughly. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
04 - Assemble the salad. Place the romaine lettuce at the bottom of a large bowl. Top with the burger meat, tomatoes, red onion, cheddar cheese, and pickles. Drizzle the special sauce dressing on top. Alternatively, you could divide the salad ingredients into separate containers for meal prep right away. Or do a salad bar of sorts where everyone can make their own!
05 - Serve and enjoy!

# Notes:

01 - This salad is a healthier, low carb version of a cheeseburger that tastes like a big mac in each bite.
02 - Great for meal prep - you can prepare components ahead and assemble when ready to eat.
03 - You can set up the ingredients as a salad bar for family members to customize their own bowls.
