Cheesy Steak Rice Meal (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 medium onion, finely chopped
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1 pound steak, diced into small chunks
04 - 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
05 - 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
06 - 2 cups beef broth
07 - 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
08 - Salt, as needed
09 - Pepper, as needed
10 - 1 teaspoon paprika
11 - 1 teaspoon dried thyme
12 - 2 tablespoons parsley, freshly chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Heat olive oil in a big pan over medium-high flame. Add the steak chunks and cook until golden all over. Take the meat out and put it aside.
02 - Throw the chopped onions into the same pan and cook them for about 5 minutes until see-through. Then toss in the garlic and stir for another minute until it smells amazing.
03 - Mix in the rice, beef broth, paprika, and thyme. Turn the heat up until it starts to bubble.
04 - Drop the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the rice cook gently for 15-20 minutes. It’s ready when it soaks up all the liquid and gets soft.
05 - Add the steak back into the pan along with the cheddar cheese. Stir everything together until the cheese melts and blends in smoothly.
06 - Add salt and pepper to taste, then sprinkle fresh parsley on top just before serving.

# Notes:

01 - You can swap the steak for chicken or ground beef to switch things up. Adding mushrooms or bell peppers gives it a fun twist. Want more heat? Try tossing in jalapeños or even chili flakes.
