01 -
Set your oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and let it heat up.
02 -
Warm a large skillet by putting it on medium heat, then pour in the olive oil.
03 -
Remove extra fat from the chicken breasts and carefully slice them horizontally to make thinner pieces.
04 -
Stir together the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and basil in a shallow dish.
05 -
Mix the flour, pepper, and salt in a shallow dish until they’re combined.
06 -
Beat the eggs with the milk in another shallow dish until the mixture is smooth.
07 -
Press each piece of chicken lightly into the flour mixture, covering all sides.
08 -
Dip the floured chicken into the egg mixture and let any extra drip off.
09 -
Press the chicken gently into the breadcrumb mixture so it sticks well.
10 -
Carefully place the breaded chicken into the hot skillet. Cook each side for 3 to 4 minutes until it’s golden and cooked through.
11 -
Lay the cooked chicken on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
12 -
Spread 2 tablespoons of marinara sauce over the top of each piece of chicken.
13 -
Top each chicken cutlet with shredded mozzarella, sprinkling it evenly.
14 -
Put the baking sheet in the oven and bake for around 5-7 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and melted.
15 -
Let the chicken cool down for a minute or two after taking it out of the oven.
16 -
Enjoy while hot, and feel free to add extra marinara sauce if you’d like.
