Orange Truffle Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Shell Base

01 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
02 - ½ cup heavy cream
03 - 2 ½ cups white chocolate chips
04 - ¼ teaspoon salt
05 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
06 - ½ teaspoon orange extract
07 - Zest from 1 orange

→ Outside Coating

08 - 1 cup powdered sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Place the white chocolate chips in a sturdy bowl that can handle heat. Warm up the cream and butter in a small pot on medium heat until it just starts bubbling. Then pour it over the chocolate chips and let it sit for a bit—around a minute. Mix it gently until it's smooth and combined. A few short blasts in the microwave can help if needed.
02 - Mix in the salt, orange zest, orange extract, and vanilla extract. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and pop it in the fridge for about 2 hours or until the mix has firmed up enough to handle.
03 - Scoop little portions of the chilled mixture using a cookie scoop or a spoon, then roll each piece into smooth, bite-sized shapes. If it feels too soft, let it chill a bit longer to set.
04 - Gently roll each rounded piece in powdered sugar so it's fully covered. You could switch it up with crushed biscuits or shredded coconut for different textures.
05 - Keep your truffle bites in a sealed container inside the fridge until it's time to share or enjoy them.

# Notes:

01 - Avoid zesting too deep into the orange to skip the bitter white parts.
02 - For a punchier citrus kick, add a bit more orange extract, but don't go overboard.
03 - If the mixture feels sticky when rolling, rub some powdered sugar on your hands.
04 - Drizzle melted chocolate on finished truffles to make them extra pretty.
05 - These treats can be made ahead and stashed in the fridge or freezer.
