Brown ground beef (or sausage) in a skillet, drain grease, and set aside.

Whisk flour, baking powder, Italian herbs, and salt. Add olive oil and buttermilk (or substitute). Stir to form a slightly sticky, soft dough.

Press dough into a greased 9x13 inch dish. Mix ketchup and mustard, spread over dough. Sprinkle with cooked meat and cheddar cheese.

Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted.

While baking, mix mayo and pickle juice in a small bowl.

Remove casserole from oven. Sprinkle with lettuce and chopped pickles, drizzle with mayo mixture. Cut into squares and serve warm.
