Effortless Amish Hamburger Steak (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Hamburger Steaks

01 - Black pepper, as much as you want
02 - Salt, as much as you need
03 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1 large egg
06 - 60 g breadcrumbs
07 - 680 g ground beef

→ Sauce

08 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
09 - 1 cup mushrooms, sliced up
10 - 1 small onion, sliced really thin
11 - 120 ml milk
12 - 285 g cream of mushroom soup

→ Topping

13 - Chopped fresh parsley

# Instructions:

01 - Right before you dig in, sprinkle some chopped parsley on top. Goes really well with some egg noodles or mashed potatoes if that's your thing.
02 - Cover the dish with some foil and bake for about 30 to 35 minutes. Pull off the foil and keep baking for 10 more minutes till the sauce is bubbling and hot, and the steaks are done through.
03 - Spread those sliced onions and mushrooms all over the top of the steaks and sauce in the dish.
04 - Mix the mushroom soup, milk, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl. Stir it all up till it's smooth, then pour the sauce over the patties.
05 - Warm up a skillet on medium. Brown each patty for around 2 to 3 minutes per side, just so they're crispy outside but not cooked inside yet. Move them to your baking dish.
06 - Toss the beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a big bowl. Stir gently till it's combined, then make 4 to 6 meat ovals.
07 - Turn your oven on to 175°C. Lightly grease a 23×33 cm baking dish so stuff doesn't stick.

# Notes:

01 - Swap cream of mushroom with cream of chicken if you want to mix things up.
02 - You can use almond flour instead of breadcrumbs to cut carbs if needed.
